Melissa’s Story
My name is Melissa and I have lived with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for the past 16 years. I’ve seen every kind of doctor you can think of; rheumatologists, sports medicine physicians, endocrinologists and numerous family practitioners, none of which have offered relief or even effective pain control. Nobody seemed to listen or even care. “Exercise” or “Lose some weight” is what I was told over and over, yet how do you exercise when you can hardly get out of bed? I had been blessed with two children late in life and at 59 years old imagine yourself with teenagers you adore, who actually want you to do things with them but I simply couldn’t keep up.
One day, a friend of mine told me about FFC and how she had been suffering from extreme fatigue and how much better she felt. Being a nurse, I was skeptical at first but soon began noticing how much better she was doing, I thought, “nothing ventured, nothing gained” so I made an appointment for October 13, 2007. I know the date well, because it was the day I started to reclaim my life. Dr. Boulden of the Ft. Worth Center turned out to be soft-spoken and kind. She went over my history with detail and attention and I had my first IV treatment that day. That same day I had the most extensive blood work I’ve ever had in my life and was tested for every virus, bacteria, and immune problem you can think of. No other doctor has ever bothered to test me for anything outside of standard blood tests.
My life today is very different, not perfect, but it’s so much better than it has been in such a long time. I actually sleep at night now and have started to walk my dogs again. I no longer have to rely on a maid to come in to clean my house; I do it myself. I used to take shirts and pants to the laundry, but now I can do the laundry, cook dinner, do things with my kids, and even go to lunch with my friends. Not long ago I was beginning to think, “Is this all there is for the rest of my life?” until I found FFC. If you are feeling this way, call FFC today and take the first step to changing your life. You won’t be sorry.
