Dr. Homer L. Schreckengost is an Armstrong County native who completed his undergraduate studies at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. Dr. Schreckengost completed his AOA Internship and Family Medicine Residency at Clarion Hospital in Clarion, PA. Dr. Schreckengost is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He has served as the Family Medicine Program Director and the Director of Medical Education at both Clarion Hospital and through the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech where he coordinated and developed physician training programs. As an Osteopathic physician, Dr. Schreckengost performs adult and pediatric Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) including counterstrain, craniosacral, muscle energy, Still techniques, and high velocity low amplitude techniques. Using a holistic approach, Dr. Schreckengost provides care using his knowledge of traditional medicine and complements it with a comprehensive blend of preventative and nutritional medicine.
