Each Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Center (FFC) is staffed by dedicated physicians who have chosen to specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of Fibromyalgia (FM), Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Unrelenting Fatigue (UF). Each physician has had extensive training with FFC's Chief Medical Director, and brings their individual knowledge and expertise to create the highest quality staff for our patients' care. Karen P. Bullington, MD - Atlanta, Georgia

Dr. Bullington is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. She received her medical degree from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and completed her residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She has been in practice for 12 years with much of that time being dedicated to serving as a medical missionary with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptists Convention.

Her international and cross cultural experience has given her an understanding and appreciation for a wide variety of natural and alternative therapies. Her approach to patient care has always been to treat the whole person incorporating nutrition, stress management, exercise, and mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.

Satish Cuddapah, MD - Atlanta, Georgia

Dr. Cuddapah earned his Doctorate at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine in Ohio in 1997 and prior to that he received a Bachelors degree in Combined Science at Youngstown State University, also in Ohio. Upon receiving his Doctorate, he completed a Family Practice Internship at the University of Florida/North Broward Hospital District, Coral Springs Medical Center in Florida and shortly after completed his Family Practice Residency at the University of Tennessee/Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Since that time, he has moved to Georgia and has gained extensive experience working with Fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue patients in private practice at The Family Medicine Clinic while providing a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient care. In addition, he has worked with nursing home patients at Maple Ridge Nursing Home and as the acute on-call Physician for Wellstar Windy Hill Hospital in Marietta Georgia.

Dr. Cuddapah is a member of the Georgia and American Academy's of Family Physicians, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin, and American Medical Association. His expertise and enthusiasm make him an excellent addition to the Atlanta Center.

Dr. Wayne Bonlie, MD. - Baltimore, Md

Dr. Wayne Bonlie received his Doctorate of Medicine from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California before completing his residency in Family Practice at Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Bonlie has held several positions including Medical Chief of Staff at Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen, WA and Associate Hospice Director for Harbors Home Health and Hospice in Hoquiam, WA. In 1995, Dr. Bonlie established a private practice in Hoquiam, WA where he practiced family medicine for over 9 years. Most recently, he practices Integrative Medicine in Timonium, MD at his private practice, Wayne Bonlie, MD.

Dr. Bonlie is Board Certified in Family Practice and licensed in Maryland. He has achieved numerous awards throughout his career including Grays Harbor Community Hospital Physician of the Year and Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher Award. Dr. Bonlie joins Fibro & Fatigue Centers of Maryland with a passion for treating Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue sufferers and brings with him years of experience and knowledge.

Nosson Goldfarb, MD - Cleveland, Ohio

Dr. Nosson Goldfarb received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Michigan in 1986 and spent the next several years at the Torah Institute for Jewish Studies in Jerusalem, Israel before getting his Doctorate of Medicine in 1992 from Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. Dr. Goldfarb completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital and fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he focused on immunology.

Upon graduation, Dr. Goldfarb accepted a position as Chief of the Department of Pediatric & Adult Allergy & Immunology with Ohio Permanente Medical Group before starting his own private practice in 2004, The Center for Advanced Wellness.   Over the next several years, Dr. Goldfarb focused his practice on preventative medicine that included nutrition, chronic disease, hormone therapy, detox, allergies, and pain management.

Dr. Nosson Goldfarb is Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatrics, and Diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.  Professional associations: American Academy for the Advancement of Medicine, American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, American Medical Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Goldfarb has published numerous articles, abstracts, research papers, and lectures on a variety of topics.  Dr. Goldfarb brings to the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers of Cleveland a wealth of information and expertise.  

William Marcus Spurlock, MD - Dallas, Texas
Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Spurlock graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science and Medicine and with a Medical Doctorate from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He spent three years in the United States Air Force as a staff physician in the Family Practice Clinic at Barksdale AFB Hospital in Bossier City, Louisiana. Dr. Spurlock is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the American Academy's of Environmental Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine.

His experience was earned in Shreveport Hospitals, nursing homes and the Environmental Health Center in Dallas. He has extensive experience in anti-aging medicine and in the area of viral diseases. Dr. Spurlock is a board certified Family Physician with many years experience dealing with FM and CFIDS.

James Stevens, DO - Dallas, Texas

Dr. Stevens graduated Cum Laude from Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1977 and brings more than 28 years of clinical experience. After graduating, he started a private practice in Family and Emergency (ER) Medicine. Later, he completed residencies in ER Medicine at the University Hospital, in Jacksonville, Florida and Anesthesia at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, presiding as Chief Resident in his field at both locations.

After serving as the Medical Director for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit and the Nurse Anesthesia School at Bay Medical Center, in Panama City, Florida, he was later appointed as Head of the Anesthesia Department; he concurrently served as Examiner for Board Certification for the American Association of Osteopathic Specialists. For eight years, he acted as Head of Department of Anesthesia at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas and served two years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Houston in the Nurse Anesthesia School, providing training for CRNA students in his active practice in Lufkin. Dr. Stevens enthusiastically ended his retirement to join FFC in November of 2005.

Deborah Sainer, MD - Denver, Colorado

Dr. Sainer attended medical school at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey, and served her internship and residency in internal medicine and emergency medicine at George Washington University in Washington D.C. As a Board Certified Emergency and Internal Medicine Physician, she specialized in emergency medicine for 17 years; 10 of which were spent at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. In the last several years, her focus shifted towards anti-aging and longevity medicine including bio-identical hormone replacement.

Dr. Sainer is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and American College of Anti-Aging Medicine. She is professionally certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and various aspects of Medical Aesthetics including Botox, Derma Fillers and Mesotherapy.

Jill Pitcher, D.O - Denver, Colorado

Dr. Pitcher earned her bachelor degree from Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, CO. and Doctor of Osteopathy at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Shortly thereafter she completed her Internship and Residency in Osteopathic Family Medicine at St. Lukes Medical Center in Denver, CO.

Dr. Pitcher has spent several years in Private Practice and practices focused on Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, Natural Hormone use and Nutrient Therapy. In addition, Dr. Pitcher has been on staff at Faculty HealthOne Family Medicine Residency where she was a Faculty trainer for Family Medical Residents.

Most recently Dr. Pitcher has worked as a full time Medical Director for Arapahoe County Detention Center in Centennial, CO. She is associated with several Hospital associations including Medical Center of Aurora and McKee Medical Center.

In addition, Dr. Pitcher is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Colorado Society of Osteopathic Medicine, Society of Correctional Physicians, Academy of Correctional Health Professionals, American Board of Osteopathic Medicine, American College of Osteopathic Family Practitioners, and the past President of the Board of Directors of the Denver Osteopathic Foundation.

Passionate and dedicated, Dr Jill Pitcher comes to Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers with many years of clinical experience.

Sultana Mustafa, DO - Detroit, Michigan

Dr. Sultana Mustafa, born in Athens, Greece earned and graduated from both Wayne State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. After serving her internship at Olympia Fields and Chicago Osteopathic Medical Centers, she completed one year surgical residency training, followed by a year of emergency medicine and family practice at Michigan Osteopathic Medical Center in Detroit. It was during that time Dr. Mustafa shifted her attention to Family Medicine. Using holistic treatment approaches, she mixes traditional and alternative medicine, promotes preventative care and nutritional support and believes that patient education is critical.

She has practiced medicine at various medical clinics in the surrounding Detroit Metropolitan areas, as well as practicing at Zion International Medical Center, Louise Berg General Hospital and has taught at Chicago Osteopathic Medical Center. Prior to coming on board at FFC Dr. Mustafa was at Warren Medical Center in Dearborn, Michigan.

Passionate and dedicated, Dr. Mustafa brings over 25 years of clinical experience to the Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Center in Detroit.

Kelly Boulden, MD - Fort Worth, Texas

Dr. Kelly Boulden achieved a Bachelor of Science degree at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico.  Upon obtaining her Doctorate of Medicine from the University of New Mexico, she completed her internship and residency in family practice at the University of New Mexico - Department of Family and Community Medicine.

Since 1999, Dr. Boulden has worked at the Southwest Family Health Care Associates and more recently at the Dallas Methodist Family Health Center.  Dr. Boulden also established a private practice, the Boulden Family Practice Center in Deming, NM where she practiced for a brief time.  Having practiced Family medicine for the last day decade, Dr. Boulden began noticing many of her patients were experiencing fatigue, achiness, and an inability to sleep. Realizing that her training had left her with no answers, she began researching other treatment options.  After researching various treatments and protocols, Dr. Boulden made the decision to leave family practice and devote herself full time to the treatment of patients suffering from Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Dr. Kelly Boulden has served on many professional advisory committees, more recently as the Vice President of Southwest Family Health Care Association and President of the Medical Executive Committee. She has also been an active sponsor in establishing a school based health clinic in Albuquerque, NM; as well as, teaching violence prevention curriculum at Albuquerque High School.

Alina D. Garcia, MD - Las Vegas, Nevada

Dr. Garcia received her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed her residency in obstetrics, gynecology and family practice. Her subsequent years of clinical experience are in urgent care and emergency training. She was serving as the Medical Director of a wellness center for women in suburban Chicago when her interest in FM/CFIDS began after a family member was diagnosed. Dr. Garcia's expertise also extends to sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions, bio-identical hormones and anti-aging.

Most recently, she has been working closely with a certified physical therapist developing a therapeutic program uniquely designed to address the musculoskeletal concerns and pain issues of the FM patient. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Nevada Academy of Family Practice and various community and church organizations. Dr. Garcia brings more than 15 years of diverse clinical experience to FFC.

Maria A. DiGiovanni, MD - Norwalk, Connecticut

Dr. Maria DiGiovanni received her medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, in 1987. Upon completing her internship, residency, and Chief Medical residency in Internal Medicine at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT, she spent the next 15 years as an attending physician in the Emergency Department.

In addition, Dr. DiGiovanni worked as a Supervising Physician at Northern Westchester Cardiac Rehabilitation Center and then at Cardio-Fitness Associates in Stamford for five years. Dr. DiGiovanni most recently served as Medical Director for CHEYTAC Associates in Ridgefield, CT, and as a Physician at Executive Health Exams International.

Dr. DiGiovanni has several certifications including Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and National Board of Medical Examiners. She is affiliated with the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, American Society for Bariatric Surgery, and the American Medical Association. In previous years, she has been affiliated with the Connecticut Chapter and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), as well as the Presidential Medical Advisory Board, the Presidential Business Commission, and the American Heart Association of Connecticut. Dr. DiGiovanni has published several research projects including Surgical Complications of Bulimia and Anorexia Nervosa and The Hepatobiliary Kinetics and Excretion of Ciprofloxacin.

Dr. Maria DiGiovanni comes to FFC with vast experience and is eager to apply her knowledge to treat patients in the Norwalk Center.

Edgar S. Caro MD - Norwalk, Connecticut

Dr. Edgar Caro is a board certified Family Physician who received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his residency at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, New York which included rotations at several New York City hospitals. Upon completing residency, he spent 2 years as an emergency room attending physician at St. Joseph's Medical Center. He then went on to private practice for over 16 years and has served as medical director at St. John's Riverside Hospital Park Care Health Center in Yonkers, New York.

Dr. Caro has vast clinical experience and believes that in order to heal one must treat the whole person incorporating physical, spiritual, and psychological wellness.

J. Andre Garabedian, MD - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Assistant Medical Director

Dr. Garabedian graduated with Honors from Damascus University's Faculty of Medicine in Syria. He completed a rotating internship of medical, pediatric and surgical training at Mercy Catholic Medical Center followed by a two year residency at Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown, both in Pennsylvania. For over 20 years, Dr. Garabedian was the Medical House Officer at Montgomery Hospital while simultaneously holding the positions of emergency room physician and medical director of the Ambulatory Care Clinics at the same facility. After he served as associate medical director of the Montgomery County Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Center in Royersford, Pennsylvania, he taught educational courses at universities and community centers, specializing in Neurological Assessment and Examination, Hypertension and its Complications, Allergy and Immunology, and Diabetes and Stress Management for Alzheimer Patient Caregivers.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, American Association of Physician Specialists and American College of Occupational Environmental Medicine. Dr. Garabedian brings over 30 years of medical experience to the FFC team of medical doctors.

Steven Lipschutz, MD - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Dr. Lipschutz earned a Bachelors degree at the University of Pennsylvania and Medical Degree at Hahnemann Medical College in 1977. After receiving his Medical Degree, Dr. Lipschutz completed an Internship and Family Medicine Residency at Hahnemann Medical College and became Chief Resident in 1980. After his Residency in 1983, he went into private practice in Philadelphia where he practiced Family Medicine until recently joining the Philadelphia Center so he could focus on patients suffering from FM/CFIDS. Dr. Lipschutz was also a Medical Consultant for the Eye Institute of the Pennsylvania College of Optometry for three years and a Clinical Consultant for Woods Services in Langhorne, PA for two.

Other staff appointments included hospitals such as, John F Kennedy Memorial, Rolling Hill and Albert Einstein Medical Center. Dr. Lipschutz is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Lauren DeLuca Loya, MD - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Dr. Lauren Loya received her Medical Doctorate from Northwestern University Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Loya is a member of several professional societies that include the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Loya joins the Pittsburgh Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Center with over ten years of experience and has worked as a Faculty Physician in Family Practice in several Hospitals along with private practice. She most recently worked as a Faculty Physician at UPMC Shadyside Family Medicine, as well as the Medical Director for a Medical Spa in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Loya is Board Certified in Family Practice, along with having a Pennsylvania Medical License, and DEA License. With several awards in teaching, Dr. Loya has taught medical students throughout her 10 year career and truly enjoys working with patients to restore their health.

Werner Vosloo, N.D. MHom - Portland, Oregon

Werner Vosloo received his Doctorate of Natural Medicine from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland, Oregon and Masters Degree in Homeopathic Medicine from Technikon Natal in Durban, South Africa. Dr. Vosloo is a well educated Naturopathic and Homeopathic Physician that has worked in numerous positions within the Portland area and in British Columbia, Canada, as well as assistant Homeopathic and Intravenous Medicine Instructor at NCNM. Most recently, Dr. Vosloo completed a residency in biological medicine at Greenspan Good Health Center.

In addition, Dr. Vosloo has completed several Clinical Rotations and Clerkships in General Family Medicine, Environmental Medicine, Homeopathy, Minor Surgery, IV Micronutrient therapy and is board certified in Chelation therapy with the Oregon Board of Naturopathic Examiners.

In the state of Oregon, Naturopathic Physicians are licensed as primary care providers with prescriptive rights. Joanne Pizzino Raleigh, NC Staff Physician - Raleigh, NC

Joanne Pizzino, MD, MPH, FACOEM, is a graduate of Ohio State Medical School. She completed residency training with the Baylor College of Medicine and the University of Texas. Dr. Pizzino is board-certified in Preventive/Occupational Medicine and Family Practice.

Since 1983 she has been involved with virtually every aspect of occupational and environmental health including extensive background in medical toxicology, ergonomics, indoor air quality, workers' compensation, disability management, and medical surveillance. Dr. Pizzino has worked with the National Toxicology Program and has been Medical Director for the City of Charlotte, North Carolina, as well as, Medical Director and Consultant for numerous corporations.

Dr. Pizzino approaches healthcare from a holistic paradigm that integrates mind, body and spirit in healing. In addition to over 20 years of clinical experience in teaching and treating environmental/occupational health concerns and other ambulatory problems, Dr. Pizzino now practices utilizing a variety of complementary and alternative therapies.

John Whitaker , D.O. - Salt Lake City, Utah

Dr. John Whitaker earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University in Utah and Masters of Applied Human Physiology from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. After receiving his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, he completed his internship at Ontario Community Hospital and his residency at San Bernardino County Medical Center. Dr. Whitaker has been employed at numerous hospitals since 1992 and is an experienced Emergency Room, Urgent Care, Primary Care, and Family Physician. Most recently, Dr. Whitaker has worked as an Emergency Room Physician at Cache Valley Specialty Hospital and part-time at various Staff Care agencies.

Dr. Whitaker has been a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, California Medical Association, and Utah Medical Association and is licensed to practice Utah and has held licenses in California and Idaho.

Steven MacPherson, N.D. - Seattle, WA

Dr. Steven MacPherson graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle Washington in 1991 with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. For two years following graduation he gained experience working in different clinics, primarily in the Seattle area but also in Reno, NV. Beginning in 1992, he began training in the Bowen therapy which is a very gentle hands-on form of body work intended to help restore musculoskeletal balance and thus improve pain. Dr. MacPherson is certified as a professional Bowenwork Practitioner and has found this to be a very beneficial adjunct in the treatment of Fibromyalgia. In 1994 he did further study in homeopathy completing a course with the New England School of Homeopathy.

He had a private practice in Seattle until moving to Issaquah, WA in 1995 to establish the Naturopathic Clinic of Issaquah where he practiced until 2008.

Throughout his career Dr. MacPherson's focus has been on chronic health conditions including Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. As a Naturopathic physician he puts to use his expertise in nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, detoxification, lifestyle modifications, physical medicine and other methods of natural treatment. As a Naturopath in Washington State he is licensed as a primary care physician with prescriptive rights for a majority of medications.

He understands the symptoms that patients are experiencing, and compassionately listens to patients' concerns. Each patient is an individual with a unique constellation of both symptoms and causes. His goal is to search out the underlying factors specific to each person's conditions and through a step-by-step process guide the patient toward physiological balance, normal function, and a sense of well-being.
