Dr. Mitchell received her medical degree from Sackler School of Medicine/New York State Program in Tel Aviv, Israel. She then completed her residency in Pediatrics at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York. Upon graduation, Dr. Mitchell practiced both traditional and alternative medicine in a private practice in New York overseeing all aspects of the practice and patient care. She then spent the next few years at New York State County Health Review Organization where she assessed patients’ medical needs required for home care. In 1990, she began her private practice treating patients in both New York City, NY and Long Island, NY, where she currently specializes in the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Vulvodynia and Candida. Licensed in New York, Dr. Mitchell is Board Certified and is a member of the Chronic Fatigue Society. She has specialized training in Botanical Medicine - Modern Clinical Practice, Lifestyle Heart Program, Obesity Research Program, and Environmental Medicine and Allergy. Dr. Mitchell has over 20 years experience in treating Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue patients utilizing both traditional and alternative therapies, such as dietary manipulation, oral, injectable and intravenous vitamins, herbs, and sublingual immunotherapy for allergies. |
