Dr. Garcia received her medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed her residency in obstetrics, gynecology and family practice. Her subsequent years of clinical experience are in urgent care and emergency training. She was serving as the Medical Director of a wellness center for women in suburban Chicago when her interest in FM/CFIDS began after a family member was diagnosed. Dr. Garcia's expertise also extends to sports medicine and musculoskeletal conditions, bio-identical hormones and anti-aging. Most recently, she has been working closely with a certified physical therapist developing a therapeutic program uniquely designed to address the musculoskeletal concerns and pain issues of the FM patient. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and the Nevada Academy of Family Practice and various community and church organizations. Dr. Garcia brings more than 15 years of diverse clinical experience to FFC. |
