Hormone Deficiencies

Several factors could be contributing to the cause of your hormone imbalances. At Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers we have trained medical doctors who understand the endocrine system, who listen to you, and who will work with you to help you win the battle and get your body back to normal.

Individuals often suffer for years being told that their thyroid, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone and adrenals are fine, but at Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers, we find that these levels are actually low and need to be supplemented, often with remarkable results. We can help bring your body back to balance and normal functioning.

Hormone Deficiencies and The Therapies We Use

The hormonal system is complex and understanding the impact on your body and daily activities can be very difficult and frustrating. The endocrine system produces and sends hormones to all areas of our body to regulate essential functions such as temperature, reproduction, growth, immunity and aging. It stands to reason that the hormone system is the hub of vitality, longevity and well-being.

Hormonal deficiencies often lead to Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. There are several possible causes that could be contributing to your pain and fatigue:

Low Thyroid Levels Despite Normal 'Standard' Blood Test Results. Have you been told over and over your thyroid levels are normal? You may actually have severely low thyroid not detected by standard tests. Standard blood tests, performed 90% of the time, do not pick up severely low thyroid levels. Low thyroid levels can cause fatigue, depression and difficulty losing weight and is present in the majority of Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Unrelenting Fatigue patients. Low thyroid also increases the risk of heart disease and cancer. A recent study in the medical journal Archives of Internal Medicine found that women with low normal thyroid are 70% more likely to have atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and over twice as likely (200% increase) to suffer a heart attack.

Pituitary Dysfunction. Often, Pituitary Dysfunction is present with this condition, which stem from a variety of causes, including viruses, bacteria, stress, yeast, inflammation, toxins, pesticides, plastics and mitochondria dysfunction.

Adrenal Exhaustion. Adrenal exhaustion is often the cause of serious fatigue. Sophisticated blood/urine tests required for an accurate diagnosis are often not ordered by non-specialists. The strength and health of your adrenal system are critical to you.

Results of decreased hormones are vast and can include, but are not limited to:

  • Insomnia
  • Restless, non-refreshing sleep
  • Adrenal gland fatigue
  • Hypothyroidism
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Dry eyes
  • Urinary frequency
  • Weight gain and/or an increase in body fat
