A family member with Fibromyalgia symptoms?
Nothing makes us feel more helpless than standing by as someone we love is suffering and we are unable to help them. With Fibromyalgia (FM), Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) and Unrelenting Fatigue (UF), that feeling of helplessness is experienced by the patient and by family and friends alike. So how can you relate, understand and even more importantly, help? This is a commonly asked question by many of our patients’ family members. Here are some seemingly simple answers that may help you help your loved one:
- Be supportive - Know that FM, CFIDS and UF are very real diseases. They need support and understanding from those around them to make it through the struggle. It is possible to get their life back and you can help.
- Call for an appointment and come with your loved one to their first appointment - Call toll-free 1-866-443-4276 to schedule an appointment or to attend a free educational seminar - once they are hopeful, you will be too! At Fibromyalgia & Fatigue Centers, Inc. (FFC) seminar, you will tour the Center, meet the physician and staff and learn about our treatment approach.
- Self educate - Keep surfing this site and understand their disease. It is real. Read everything you can about Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome and Unrelenting Fatigue.
- Ask for more information - Sign up and we will send you a packet of information to help your loved one.
- Keep updated - Sign up for our newsletter and periodic email updates. We will keep you on our mailing list to keep you and your loved one informed of the latest therapies and research available to them.

- Relax - There is hope and help!
At FFC, we were founded on the belief that no one should endure sustained suffering when help is available. Check our locations for a FFC near you and give your loved one the great gift of hope and support. If the nearest FFC location is a distance away, we offer affordable and flexible treatment for out of town patients.
