Freida Eng, MD

Dr. Freida Eng was graduated from St. Martin’s College in Lacey, WA in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and pre-med. A nurse for 10 years, in 1999 she completed her medical doctorate in primary care at the University of Washington, School of Medicine in Seattle, WA. She completed her residency in Family Practice at Swedish Providence Campus Family Medicine, Seattle Indian Health Board satellite site, graduating in 2002.

Upon graduating with her Medical Doctorate, Dr. Eng continued her commitment to Native American health by serving as the Health Officer/ Medical Director for the Nisqually Tribe. In addition, she has been a consultant for other Tribes in Washington; provided primary care for the Seattle Indian Health Board; and provides emergency care for a remote reservation in Washington.

She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Medical Group Management Association, Association of American Indian Physicians and holds the office of Chair of Public Health and Scientific Affairs Commission for the Washington Academy of Family Physicians.

In addition, she has published several articles including her most recent “Bioterrorism and the Family Physician” in 2002. Dr. Eng holds certifications from the University of Washington, School of Medicine, Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Life Support and others.

She brings her passion for wellness to FFC and is dedicated to treating patients with symptoms of Fibromyalgia and Unrelenting Fatigue.
