Steven MacPherson, N.D. |
|
Dr. Steven MacPherson graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle Washington in 1991 with a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine. For two years following graduation he gained experience working in different clinics, primarily in the Seattle area but also in Reno, NV. Beginning in 1992, he began training in the Bowen therapy which is a very gentle hands-on form of body work intended to help restore musculoskeletal balance and thus improve pain. Dr. MacPherson is certified as a professional Bowenwork Practitioner and has found this to be a very beneficial adjunct in the treatment of Fibromyalgia. In 1994 he did further study in homeopathy completing a course with the New England School of Homeopathy. He had a private practice in Seattle until moving to Issaquah, WA in 1995 to establish the Naturopathic Clinic of Issaquah where he practiced until 2008. Throughout his career Dr. MacPherson's focus has been on chronic health conditions including Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. As a Naturopathic physician he puts to use his expertise in nutrition, herbal medicine, homeopathy, detoxification, lifestyle modifications, physical medicine and other methods of natural treatment. As a Naturopath in Washington State he is licensed as a primary care physician with prescriptive rights for a majority of medications. He understands the symptoms that patients are experiencing, and compassionately listens to patients' concerns. Each patient is an individual with a unique constellation of both symptoms and causes. His goal is to search out the underlying factors specific to each person's conditions and through a step-by-step process guide the patient toward physiological balance, normal function, and a sense of well-being. |
