Maria A. DiGiovanni, MD

Dr. Maria DiGiovanni received her medical doctorate from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY, in 1987. Upon completing her internship, residency, and Chief Medical residency in Internal Medicine at Stamford Hospital in Stamford, CT, she spent the next

15 years as an attending physician in the Emergency Department.

In addition, Dr. DiGiovanni worked as a Supervising Physician at Northern Westchester Cardiac Rehabilitation Center and then at Cardio-Fitness Associates in Stamford for five years. Dr. DiGiovanni most recently served as Medical Director for CHEYTAC Associates in Ridgefield, CT, and as a Physician at Executive Health Exams International.

Dr. DiGiovanni has several certifications including Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and National Board of Medical Examiners. She is affiliated with the American Society of Bariatric Physicians, American Society for Bariatric Surgery, and the American Medical Association. In previous years, she has been affiliated with the Connecticut Chapter and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), as well as the Presidential Medical Advisory Board, the Presidential Business Commission, and the American Heart Association of Connecticut. Dr. DiGiovanni has published several research projects including Surgical Complications of Bulimia and Anorexia Nervosa and The Hepatobiliary Kinetics and Excretion of Ciprofloxacin.

Dr. Maria DiGiovanni comes to FFC with vast experience and is eager to apply her knowledge to treat patients in the Norwalk Center.
